Poster printing is a highly powerful and cost effective means of promotion. Posters are an integral part of promotion in the world of cinema and other forms of visual entertainment; but their utility is not limited to the entertainment industry and small and medium sized businesses can also benefit from this method.

Ordinarily, posters are used for outdoor purposes. Their outdoor use includes product launching, advertisement of a business, film posters, fashion posters, sports posters, and so on. As far as their indoor usage is concerned, it may include inspirational theme, motivational concept, corporate history, unforgettable moments, and historical issues.

It is a well documented fact that sometimes businesses have to adjust their overall budgets just to accommodate their promotion campaigns. If brand promotion on a lavish scale is not your cup of tea, then you can go in for the simpler and money saving advertising option of poster printing. They are localized, much more focused, and do not cost a fortune to reach your potential customers.

Repeated viewings of an attractive poster can develop a very forceful recall of the brand and its offering in the viewer’s mind. But poster printing should be of superior quality and the poster should be placed at a strategic location so that it strikes the eyes of more people and with greater frequency.

Another important advantage of poster campaigns is that their scale can be customized according to a company’s needs. Posters may target a particular section of the customer population, for example, they may focus on students if the ad campaign is for promoting school curriculum tutoring, and can be put up at places where presence of student population is perceptible.

Several things should be taken into consideration before you print poster, such as design, the message to be relayed, the printing company and finally the most suitable place for the poster’s display. Each aspect has a vital role to play in making it an effective promotional campaign, which reaps advantages for your organization. Hence careful planning and execution of the entire poster printing and displaying exercise is crucial for getting the best value out of this initiative.

Paper Bag Printing – Impressive Designs

Posted: March 18th, 2010 | Author: Cherry Newman | Filed under: Business | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , | No Comments »

With the increasing ecological consciousness, companies are greatly choosing paper bags when they sell their products at their retail shops. These bags are not only environment friendly but also more affordable than other products for production & printing.

Paper bag printing is an art by itself, and many printing services companies across the globe have gained proficiency in it and are now exceeding customers’ expectations. The earlier versions of present-day paper bags were the retailers’ brown bags that were very simple and were without designs. But their present day versions are both elegant in design and durable, and they are meant to be reused.

There are various essential design aspects that need to be considered when going for paper bag printing. You have to consider what purpose the paper bag will serve and then select an appropriate type of paper that will be able to effectively satisfy that objective.

After the paper type has been picked, you have to concentrate on the graphics and particularly the colours that will be put in the graphic. You have to arrive at the right colour mix for the paper bag so that it appeals to the customers and aids in effective brand advertisement. If the colours are disturbing to the eye then the users could react negatively.

The third design element in paper bag printing is achieving that fine balance between making the bag attractive yet highly functional. Every design aspect of a paper bag, from size to shape, must depend on two vital factors – the type of customers who will be using the bag and kind of products that will be put in it. For example, inexpensive yet attractive rope handles can be stuck to bags meant for carrying a box of shoes, as that will help in easy carriage of the bag and its contained articles by the user.

You can also look for designs in the net. Valuable hints in making beautiful and good paper bags can be discovered as well as essential informations regarding the materials to be utilized. Then, apply your creativity to make the most effective design for the paper bag.

As paper bags are very inexpensive, the design on the bag should not cost you a large amount either, but it should be sophisticated at the same time. Moreover, to have that eco friendly appeal, the paper bag should undergo a process of manufacture that is in line with ecological standards.

Finally, you have to cautiously and strategically consider what kind of message you want the paper bag to display. Most printing services companies realize this factor and they will be able to give you some excellent suggestions. But the message must gel with the brand image of your company and must not be printed without the firm logo going with it.

Promote Your Products: Employ Brochure Printing

Posted: February 8th, 2010 | Author: Bruno Esteban | Filed under: Business | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , | No Comments »

Companies of all scales and budgets make use of brochures as an important tool of advertising. They function like windows for the consumers, through which they gain knowledge about a company’s offerings, its history, and other details establishing its credentials in the market. Shoddy work on a brochure can cause irreparable damage to the reputation of the organization and thus it is very important to exercise care while developing it. Read on to discover some valuable advice both on brochure development and brochure printing.

The development process of a brochure must ensure that the final outcome looks professional, provides details in a clear and concise fashion, and is appealing to the target audience. Along with sharp use of colours, an appropriate layout of text and images is also very important in brochure design. Fonts, borders, and graphics are key elements of brochure design and they should complement each other well. The brochure should not have a disorderly feel, instead it should be neat and savvy, and at the same time simple and coherent.

The brochure printing related considerations should also be taken care of at the time of designing. It is normally a good idea to take a sample print out to see how the final brochure is going to look before you send it for large volume printing.

The design should be created taking into account the brochure printing fund allocation. In case you have a constrained budget, you can always fall back on black and white printing as it turns out to be much cheaper than colour printing. If you have a bigger budget and are looking for attractive, multicoloured brochures, then you should keep in mind that such brochures come out much better on thick, glossy papers. If the brochure is to be printed on both sides of the paper, then the paper chosen for such a product must be strong enough for good quality printing.

Looking for discounts from the printer is a good approach if brochure printing is being done on a large scale. Quality, however, must always be of central concern because a compromise on that front might be disastrous for the company’s image.

How Does Offset Printing Work

Posted: January 12th, 2010 | Author: Cesar Tan | Filed under: Business | Tags: , , , , , , , , | No Comments »

Many important tasks in a business such as maintaining flow of information intra-company and marketing the offerings of the company require printing service. Hence, it is good to have some basic knowledge of how printing works, especially offset printing, which is one of the most widely employed printing technologies.

Offset printing can generate a large number of prints quickly, which makes it more economical than other techniques and also more popular. Therefore good printing service suppliers suggest the use of offset printing for bulk prints.

The ink used during offset printing has oil as the medium and is insoluble in water. The offset printing is so called because the designs are transmitted in an indirect way from the plates to the paper by use of rubber blankets as the agents.

The process starts by preparing the designs. Earlier the images were prepared by creating film negatives and were then transmitted to printing plates made of aluminum. In the current times, the printers can make use of the image setting system for making the plates directly. The subsequent step is to attach the plate on to a cylinder in the right manner. Then the water and ink are dispersed on the image plates, one after another. While the ink gets fixed to the image, the water gets attached to that part of the plate which has no image so that the ink does not spread beyond the image.

The image is then taken from the plates to the rubber blanket spun on another cylinder, so that it is inverted. Subsequently, sheets of paper of desired dimensions are put together and the rubber blankets transmit the image to the sheets on a third cylinder, where it comes out as the right side.

Printed sheets are stapled, pasted, or arranged in any other way as needed and the printing company sends them after giving some finishing touches.
